the whole commenting that men do when talking about a foreign country is annoying : “ their women are beautiful” “ x country has the most beautiful women in the world”.
Like all of this might seem innocent and lighthearted at the surface but it really shows that men see women as tourists attractions and objects/resources that belong to a nation ( another group of men). They’ll list all these defining cultural aspects of a country and places for sightseeing and then BOOM, the inevitable “ beautiful women” comment because they can’t restrain themselves from reminding everyone and themselves that women are meant to be LOOKED at.
And then you’ll see the casual debates and compliments that men have with each other over women that’s extremely nauseating. The entitlement that men have in thinking that women first and foremost for their own gratification makes me see red I’m sick and tired of men.
This is so true. It also reminds me of how some men will brag about having “exotic” wives. A former coworker of mine would always mention his wife’s nationality (Brazilian) even when it had nothing to do with whatever story he wanted to tell. It was always kind of strange because if she was from idk Arkansas or whatever, he would not need anyone to know so badly.

I really hate that it’s somehow our fault that conservatives are using our terms incorrectly. We came up with the term “gender critical” so we would have something to call ourselves and not have to use the word “terf” but then fucking homophobes grabbed the word as well and started to use it and somehow it switched back to women being at fault for not making it clear enough what the term meant.
Conservatives are purposefully using our term so feminists look more right aligned, which benefits conservatives as well as the “left aligned” people defending trans shit. Making it seem like feminists are right, conservative, unreasonable benefits all anti feminists.
This is really like blaming gay people for straight people infecting the LGBT. They had clear definitions, and some assholes swooped in to steal their language to weaken the group and muddle intentions.
